Course Content
The dual bachelor's program in Applied Computer Science provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of computer science, including the conception, design, and implementation of IT systems. Students develop teamwork skills in problem analysis, project management competencies, and the ability to take business context into account. A key focus of the program is software engineering.
During regular practical training periods at our industry partners’ companies, students gain familiarity with subject-specific processes and the complex interrelationships between functionality, costs, and certification. In addition, internships are offered that provide application-oriented experience in software development and administration using sample systems. Graduates of the Practical Computer Science program are able to find methodologically sound solutions for any problem and implement them efficiently. This prepares them to serve as specialists and managers within companies, capable of handling any operational situation and keeping pace with the latest market developments.
