To help you get the most out of our products, we regularly offer training sessions to our customers. Here you will find an overview organized by product.

Overview of Our Training Courses

Currently, training sessions are being held online via Teams. Training is available for various levels, ranging from end users to application managers and system administrators. The dates are listed below.

Registrations are processed in the order they are received. If the training session is already fully booked, you will be notified immediately and informed of the next available date. Please register at least two weeks before the training begins, if possible. We will do our best to accommodate last-minute registrations, but cannot guarantee this. To be on the safe side, please allow at least three business days before the training to test your access to our training systems.

If a participant wishes to cancel their registration, please notify us in writing at least two weeks in advance. In the event of a later cancellation or a no-show, the full training fee will be charged. GUS LAB reserves the right to cancel the course due to insufficient enrollment at least one week before the start of the training.

Customized training

We also offer the option of conducting training sessions at your location, tailored specifically to your processes, in German or English. Please contact us—we look forward to hearing from you!

LABS/Q Training Dates

LABS/Q Key User

Schwerpunkt dieser Schulung ist, die einzelnen Module des LABS/Q® - besonders Stammdaten - und deren Zusammenhänge aufzuzeigen, sodass die notwendige Vorgehensweise beim Start der LABS/Q®-Anwendung erlernt wird. Die Arbeitsweise und die Bedienungsmöglichkeiten werden anhand praktischer Beispiele vermittelt und trainiert. Allgemeine Kenntnisse des Laborablaufs in der produktionsbegleitenden Qualitätskontrolle (in analytischen Laboratorien) werden vorausgesetzt.

LABS/Q Test Equipment Management

This training course is designed to demonstrate how to use the test equipment management system integrated into LABS/Q® and to highlight its capabilities. Workflow techniques, prerequisites (master data), and operational features will be taught and practiced using practical examples and exercises.

DTool Maskenerstellung

DTool Masken- und Datenmodelldesign (ab 4.x) Schwerpunkt dieser Schulung ist, den Umgang mit dem objektorientierten "DTool" zur Unterstützung der Detailplanung sowie der kontinuierlichen Maskenpflege und Erweiterung der Datenstruktur der LABS/Q®-Anwendung zu erlernen. Die Arbeitstechniken und Bedienungsmöglichkeiten dieses Windows-basierenden Programmes werden anhand praktischer Beispiele vermittelt und trainiert. Im Rahmen der Schulung können mit Hilfe des DTools Anpassungen der eigenen Masken in einer eigenen Maskengruppe vorgenommen werden. Detailkenntnisse der LABS/Q®-Struktur (logische Zusammenhänge und Datenstruktur) werden vorausgesetzt.

LABS/Q® System Management

The goal of this training is to provide participants with the knowledge needed to independently administer and configure a LABS/Q® system. Basic computer skills are helpful.

LABS/Q® Reporting: LABS/Q® Module – Configure Reports; Jasper Reports, Automated Reporting

In this training course, you will gain an overview of the available reporting tools as well as how to manage reports (distribution lists, recurring reports, etc.). The focus is on creating and/or embedding reports in LABS/Q® and accessing the necessary data (forms, tables, fields). In practical exercises, you will configure reports in LABS/Q and/or Jaspersoft® Studio. Basic knowledge of LABS/Q, as well as basic knowledge of HTML and, in particular, SQL, is required. The training is offered for the current version of LABS/Q®. For older versions, customized training may be offered upon request.
