New laboratory service provider under the umbrella of the GENII Software Group
The two GENII companies, Blomesystem GmbH and iCD System GmbH, merged on May 1, 2023, to form the newly established GUS LAB GmbH. GUS LAB will also become a core component of the laboratory division of the GSG GENII Software Group (“GENII”). GUS LAB offers solutions for all areas of laboratory informatics, such as cross-industry and customized LIMS solutions. The new company consolidates and standardizes the products and services of Blomesystem and iCD. In the future, additional laboratory service providers from GENII and the GUS Group are expected to be integrated into GUS LAB.
“The merger to form GUS LAB creates significant synergies that directly benefit our customers,” says GUS LAB Managing Director Kristin Schumann, who previously led Blomesystem GmbH. “The broader expertise resulting from the combination of the numerous specialists at Blomesystem and iCD, as well as the greater financial resources of our group of companies, provide additional security for our customers’ investments.”
GUS LAB is launching as a provider of cross-industry laboratory automation solutions with over 80 employees across three locations. Through this merger, GENII is consolidating its German operations in LIMS systems. Together with iVention, Dorner, and Melos, GUS LAB is a core component of GENII’s laboratory division. As a subsidiary of the GENII Software Group, GUS LAB and its customers benefit from the expertise of an international software group with short development cycles and state-of-the-art solutions designed for future-proofing, sustainability, and scalability.
In addition, GUS LAB customers have access to the GENII Software Group’s international network, which includes more than 25 locations across Europe.
