Laboratory software for the automotive industry

Production in the Automotive Sector The flow of information required in the automotive industry—from production to quality control and back—is supported by theLABS/Q®LIMS laboratory software. Production orders can be imported via interfaces, e.g., to ERP systems, which automatically create sample-specific and process-specific in-process control test orders and the release test order according to the rules defined in the master data. The results and disposition decisions can be transferred to the ERP system and/or viewed in theLABS/Q®LIMS by the production department. The system also supports the creation of customer-specific certificates upon shipment.

Automotive Laboratory Software: Quality Control

Our products for quality control and quality assurance in the automotive sector
Every product is only as good as the quality of its manufacturing and testing. Every company is under public scrutiny, and commercial success depends on the company’s flexibility in responding to customer requirements, as well as, of course, on manufacturing costs. Fast and reliable laboratory processes—which are among the most important factors for any company’s success—are expected. Interfaces to an ERP system, MES, or PLS, as well as to external systems (e.g., customers, suppliers), are indispensable. Quality control and quality assurance tasks accompany the manufacturing process from incoming goods, through in-process inspections, to shipping and storage, as well as non-conformance management.

Our laboratory software products can support you in your quality control and quality assurance tasks, helping you save time and money. Below, we outline which laboratory software can assist you with your needs:

  • Management of specifications, test plans, and methods (LABS/Q LIMS)
  • Test Order Processing / Deviation Management / Stability Testing (LABS/Q LIMS)
  • Graphical and statistical analyses, reports (LABS/Q LIMS)
  • Certificate Creation and Distribution (LABS/Q LIMS)
  • Revalidation of a revised method (VALIDAT)
  • Method Transfer and Interlaboratory Tests (VALIDAT)

Research and Development in the Automotive Sector

Your Requirements in the Automotive Industry
In the automotivesector—particularly in development—a wide range of material tests are conducted to assess suitability, durability, and robustness. Test results from customer complaints are often incorporated into this process. Even though many standards specify the various testing methods, additional internal quality checks are necessary, ranging from method validation and method transfer to regular monitoring of testing and measuring equipment.

Environmental Monitoring in the Automotive Industry

Support from our software products
In many automotive manufacturing companies, continuous monitoring of environmental factors (e.g., wastewater, air pollution, emissions) throughout the production process is essential. In accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, test orders can be generated, processed, and evaluated—both manually and automatically—for a wide variety of measurement points and samples (e.g., spot samples, 2-hour composite samples, etc.). In conjunction with PLS data, the corresponding freight charges can also be calculated, and reports can be generated for regulatory authorities.

With our environmental laboratory software, LABS/Q® LIMS, you get a laboratory software solution that includes a dedicated module for environmental monitoring. This allows for the automatic triggering of both production-related and scheduled tests at 1 to n sampling points via so-called project orders. A group reporting function, in conjunction with LABSGraphic, enables convenient graphical and statistical analysis of the data.
