Once again this year, GUS LAB GmbH joined forces with our sister company iVention to attend the LIMS Forum 2025 at the Atrium Hotel in Mainz—and it was a thoroughly successful event. From our initial interactions to the inspiring discussions at the end of the event, we gained valuable insights and came away with many new ideas.
From Existing Customers to Competitors: Network Insights & Demo Highlights Worth Checking Out
We were particularly impressed by the relevant contacts and collaborations: The LIMS Forum provided an ideal platform for exchanging ideas with fellow professionals and initiating potential partnerships. The discussions were practical, transparent, and characterized by a genuine interest in finding joint solutions.
The live demos of LABbase powered by iLES and LABS/Q using the Q/LES app were the highlights of the event. They clearly demonstrated how the laboratory workflow ecosystem is enhanced and the specific benefits that result from integrating LIMS into existing workflows.
A wide range of insights
The sessions covered a wide range of topics—from product updates and process optimization to data-driven decision-making in the lab. The practical discussion sessions, in which specific use cases were presented, were particularly helpful.
The atmosphere at the event was open, collegial, and focused on finding solutions. We actively sought out new partnerships, discussed interesting opportunities for collaboration, and made valuable connections that will help us move forward in the long term.
An overview of our highlights
- Live demos at the booth: Seeing features and workflows demonstrated in real time helped make complex topics easier to understand. We value the opportunity to interact directly with experts on-site.
- Formats for discussion: The discussions in smaller groups provided deep insights, individual questions were addressed directly, and constructive solutions emerged.
- Both in terms of the software solutions presented and in their interpersonal interactions, all participants successfully demonstrated that data flow (results-oriented discussions and information exchange), process management (targeted questions and answers, sufficient information sharing while taking mutual interests into account), and compliance (mutual respect with a healthy dose of humor) go hand in hand. 😃
The LIMS Forum 2025 once again demonstrated how important regional and international networks, as well as practical dialogue, are for the further development of laboratory IT systems. Here at GUS LAB GmbH, we are taking away numerous ideas, expanding our existing contacts, and evaluating how we can tailor our products and services even more precisely to the needs of our customers.
We look forward to incorporating the insights we’ve gained into our projects and continuing to work closely with the LIMS community. Please feel free to contact us—we’re available for one-on-one discussions!
…and a little Halloween treat to brighten your day:
As a little treat to wrap things up, we’ve included a short video clip with this feedback. Stay tuned—some “spooky” surprises await—luckily, only in the clip! 🎃🧪
Thank you to all participants for the stimulating discussion, the friendly atmosphere, and the many valuable insights. Here’s to many more successful LIMS Dialogues!
