High flexibility, key data at a glance
The flexible handling of data is becoming increasingly important in today's world. The sheer volume of data generated in the laboratory alone presents experts with the challenge of providing appropriate views for analyzing and monitoring laboratory data.
Web dashboards integrated into LABS/Q not only allow users to handle data with a high degree of flexibility, but can also be used to continuously monitor key performance indicators ( KPIs) in a laboratory. You can also create overviews that provide you with the data that is currently essential for your work area or activity, without having to navigate through the relevant data sets in the system.
Using the LABS/Q Dashboard Editor (see below), you can create various dashboards, define corresponding database queries, and display the results in lists or charts. In addition, you can export the data directly from the dashboard (CSV, Excel) or print it (e.g., charts as PNG, JPEG, PDF, SVG).
Overview of the Benefits of LABS/Q Web Dashboards
- All data from the LABS/Q database can be displayed as lists or graphs (flexibility)
- All common dashboard types, such as bar, pie, line, and scatter charts, as well as gauges and customizable lists, are available
- 2D and 3D representations
- LABS/Q Easy SQL Edit: Configure and edit SQL queries using a simple drag-and-drop SQL editor.
- SQL Editor for SQL Professionals
- Edit dashboards via drag-and-drop, extensive catalog of dashboard elements
- Direct export of data or graphics for further use (XLS, PNG)
- entirely web-based
- Select from a list via a hyperlink to go directly to the corresponding record
New Dashboard Editor
To create dashboards, iCD has developed a completely new dashboard editor. The goal was to provide an editor that operates primarily via drag-and-drop. Users can create a new dashboard in just a few minutes and configure it as a home dashboard. The next time the user logs in, they will then have access to a KPI view, for example. Since a dashboard can retrieve any data from the LABS/Q database, iCD has added a new type of SQL editor to the dashboard editor. Users can also quickly create SQL queries using drag-and-drop and save them as stored queries within the dashboard element.
The completed dashboard will be available to the user the next time they log in.

Another example of a LIMS web dashboard
The LIMS web dashboard shown here is an example of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the tests conducted in your laboratory.
This example shows an overview that displays the total number of inspections (in progress), the status of each inspection (scheduled, samples registered, partially completed, and fully completed, including the completion percentage), as well as the number of inspection orders processed each month.
The ability to display all data from the system opens up a wide range of applications that extend beyond the work of laboratory technicians and equally support laboratory management in their daily tasks.
