Since last week, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has been warning of critical vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language. PHP versions from the past 20 years are affected by two exploits, which are collectively known as php2shell.
If you’re wondering whether your LIVO Technologies applications are affected by these vulnerabilities, we can reassure you: PHP is not used in any of our products and therefore poses no security risk. We only use the programming language here on our website, which does not contain any customer data and is hosted on an external server. Of course, we have nevertheless updated it to the patched version 8.4.27 to prevent any potential risks.
Since we serve numerous clients in the KRITIS sector as well as other regulated industries, transparent and proactive communication on security-related topics is particularly important to us.
