Interfaces
More than just a LIMS

Interfaces

Our laboratory information management system can be perfectly tailored to your daily workflow with a variety of add-ons. Whether for sample planning, document management, or data collection—these additional features allow you to map every laboratory workflow even more effectively. Check out our interfaces and mobile apps!

bsDEMIS

DEMIS stands for the German Electronic Reporting and Information System for Infection Control—a reporting system operated by the Robert Koch Institute for infectious diseases in accordance with the Infection Protection Act (IfSG).

bsDEMIS is the blomesystem® DEMIS interface that prepares LIMS data for submission to the RKI. Data on positive COVID-19 test results is automatically forwarded from the LIMS LABbase® to the RKI via the DEMIS adapter developed by gematik GmbH.

Since the beginning of 2022, it has been possible to transmit data in FHIR format. This further simplifies data transmission for laboratories.

AVV DatA

The abbreviation AVV DatA stands for “General Administrative Regulation on the Exchange of Data in the Field of Food Safety and Consumer Protection.” This interface facilitates data exchange between the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) on the one hand and the state investigative offices on the other. Reports from the state offices to the federal government follow the structure of the AVV DatA catalogs, which must be implemented by January 1, 2023, at the latest.

Laboratories affiliated with state agencies must, in some cases, make significant adjustments to their workflows—a process that is neither simple nor quick. During the transition from the old system to the new one, the respective LIMS must be able to work with both the current and future AVV-DatA catalogs. LABbase bridges this gap.

blomesystem LABDDI

blomesystem® LABDDI is a general-purpose interface module for standardized data transfer.

With blomesystem® LABDDI, GUS LAB GmbH can meet specific requirements. DDI stands for Data Device Interface. This software allows any device data to be stored in a standardized format. Devices are connected to LABDDI via plug-ins, which handle the analysis and processing of the data provided by the device.

Based on the LABDDI structure, the processed data can be transferred to the actual target systems. Individual adjustments or analyses of the transferred data are performed using functionalities within these systems. Existing customer-specific applications can also utilize LABDDI.

QDI

blomesystem® QDI (QDI = QM Data Interface) is a certified interface to the SAP® R/3 QM module (Quality Management) for all analytical laboratories that use the SAP® QM module for quality control.

First and foremost, it serves as an interface between blomesystem® applications and SAP® systems. It provides tables and functions that cover all the features of the SAP® QM-IDI (IDI = Inspection Data Interface). All data transfers are carried out via direct computer-to-computer communication using SAP®-certified Remote Function Calls (RFCs).

With the release of SAP S/4HANA, SAP QM-IDI has expanded its support for long material numbers (40 characters instead of 18) and has been renamed S/4-QM-IDI.

If extended material numbers are enabled in SAP, they must also be enabled in the Interfaces worksheet to ensure correct data transfer.
